ABOUT MID VALLEY CHARTER
I am Mrs. Renee Nielsen. I have worked in the education field for the past 17 years in many different capacities and with all ages - from preschool through high school! This is my sixth year working with independent study students.
I grew up in Hanford and have lived in Kings County nearly all my life. I graduated from California State University, Fresno with a BA in Art, Minor in English, and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from an early childhood education cohort. My husband, Chad, and I have two kids and we currently live in Lemoore. Our son, Cohen loves music and we enjoy hearing what he learns to play on the xylophone and piano. Our daughter, Adelynn loves outdoor activities like swimming, biking, and roller skating. In my free time, I enjoy reading, art, and cooking!

Hello! I am Mrs. Fuller. It is very exciting to be working at Mid Valley Charter on the campus I went to school at many years ago. I have been a teacher for over 13 years and love working with my students! My husband and I have three very active little kids who keep us very busy. When I'm not at work, I am running kids to and from school and activities. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, baking, spending time on the river with family, and all things organizational! I am ready for another successful year of teaching.

My name is Cheryl Jones and I am a graduate of Fresno State. I first began teaching in Corcoran, CA., where I taught Kindergarten and Preschool for 10 years before moving to Hanford in 1980. During the 20 years I worked for Hanford Elementary, I primarily taught Kindergarten but I also taught second, third, fourth and sixth grades. I was also an administrator for two years.
I retired from Hanford Elementary in 2006 and was soon hired at Kit Carson UESD to teach at Mid Valley Charter. My years at Mid Valley have been the most memorable. I love working with the students and families one on one. We are able to individualize instruction and can work closely with parents to enrich student learning.

Hi, I am Miss Perkins! I graduated from CSU Northridge in 2013 with my BA in Deaf Studies and began a Special Education credential for Deaf and Hard of Hearing in 2014. I paused my work on the DHH credential and instead focused on a Mild/Moderate Special Education credential, which I obtained in January 2021.
I previously had the opportunity to work on an emergency credential to serve Kings County as their Deaf and Hard of Hearing teacher for two years. I have also been a substitute teacher working in multiple counties off and on since 2013, with the majority of my time spent subbing in Kings County. Working with kids has always been a passion of mine.
When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and our dog, I LOVE reading and I’m a fanatic for all things Disney and Harry Potter related. I enjoy spending time in Disneyland and Universal Studios, but the top of my bucket list is a trip to Florida for Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando. I also enjoy spending time out in nature at the beach or in the mountains.

Our Philosophy

Our school is based on the belief that our families needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of families we serve are from referrals. We welcome the opportunity to provide you the best service in the home school profession!
Our History

Mid Valley was originally created to meet the need of families in the Central Valley and every county it touches. Even through all the changes to schooling from home over the years, we believe in supporting families and providing an option to parents in lieu of the traditional classroom and to creating an education that fuels the desire to learn.
